Firstly – A Huge thank you to our current pool of Officials and helpers, without you Preston Harriers would have difficulty hosting and gaining maximum points at events.
We are looking to grow our Officials team in readiness for 2025 Track and Field season, especially in the track disciplines including Timekeepers and Track Judges. The more of us there are the less the requirements will be of each of us, so please read the information via the link below and give this some thought or just get yourself signed up.

We are also seeking helpers to support the team managers on event days – calling all parents.
Mid Lancs to support with the officials rota, giving out numbers, point of contact for new athletes who are not sure what to do (we have all been there).
YDL – As the current managers move up the age groups with their children, we need at least 4 new managers to train this year to ensure continuity
A few things to note:
- No cost to you, costs are reimbursed by the club – create a membership for yourself but don’t pay – email membership@prestonharriers.co.uk and let the Membership Secretary know you are doing the Officials Pathway.
- We work together to ensure you can still support your young athlete in their event/s.
- You will be helping to keep the club running.
- Volunteering feels good and looks great on your C.V.
