Preston Harriers take part in the Lancashire County Sportshall League, which operates during the winter months. It uses safe, state of the art equipment and provides a good introduction and base for track and field athletics during the winter months. It is a competitive league for juniors in school years 3 – 10 (and 8 years or over). Athletes can also improve their own scores, try different events, make friends and have fun, alongside competing for awards, medals and county selection.
There is no specific training for Sportshall, although Winter Training for Track & Field does include sessions related to Sportshall.

The League is for Clubs and Schools in the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups. The League operates as a team competition but with individual Athlete of the Match Awards.
The League links into the national Sportshall framework and is used to select the Lancashire Team for the Regional and National Sportshall Competitions.
