Red Rose Cross Country League

For the 2018/19 season Preston Harriers will also be affiliated to the Red Rose Cross Country League. It is a 4 race series with the best 3 to count. All the races are before Christmas and could be used by runners as a build up to the championship races in the new year.

The club will pay the league affiliation fee. The Red Rose League does charge a fee of £6 per runner for the series (not per race) which will be paid by the individual, not the club. Runners must be fully paid up members of Preston H. for the current year and be affiliated to England Athletics. A race number is issued for the season and must be kept and worn at all races.

The Mid Lancs League will remain our priority league as a club. The Red Rose League has slightly smaller fields, but does give us the opportunity to run on some different courses. Also, they are all reasonably local. There will be no club tent at the races.

2018 Entry Information
For all junior and senior runners who wish to run in the Red Rose Cross Country League for the 2018 season you must enter via the team manager, Steve Taylor by 5th October 2018. Unlike the Mid Lancs League, there is a fee of £6 for the series (not per race). It will still be possible to enter races after this date, but you must do this individually and the cost is £10 for the series (not per race). This is to encourage clubs to pre-enter runners and reduce administration on the day. For all races there is no entry on the day.
You must be a fully paid up member of Preston H. with an EA Registration No. Please note Under 11’s do not need an EA No.
Please contact Steve Taylor, stating your full name and EA No.
