This is a closed race, and part of the Inter Club Road Grand Prix races series between 7 local athletics clubs – Preston H, Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde AC, Chorley A & TC, Lytham St Annes RRC, Red Rose RR, Thornton Cleveleys RC and Wesham RR & AC. Each club hosts a midweek race from April to September. The race distance is usually 4 – 5 miles.
The minimum age to compete in this race is age 15 on race day.

No headphones permitted.
The race start and finish is on Derby Walk in Miller Park, on the path above the fountains.
Race Headquarters and buffet is at Preston Sports Club.
Toilets and changing facilities are at the race HQ. The public toilets in the park, next to the café, will remain open for the duration of the race.
Limited parking will be available at the Preston Sports Club (PSC). The BAE/EE car park on South Meadow Lane is not available. Limited parking is available at the Avenham Park car park (opposite the Continental) but much of South Meadow Lane leading to the Avenham Park car park, now has double yellow lines.
You may wish to consider parking around Winckley Square and accessing the park from there.
Runners are requested to car share as much as possible and to arrive early, allowing enough time to get to the race start.
If you park on the surrounding streets, please be considerate to local homes and businesses.
Most runners will already have numbers. Don’t forget them! No number, no time.
The details on the reverse of your race number should be completed too, particularly if you have any medical conditions.
If you have not yet collected your race number, please link-in with your club official to facilitate collection prior to the event.

The race route is on tarmac paths in both Miller and Avenham parks and surrounding paths used previously, but incorporating the new tram bridge. We do not have exclusive use of the route, so please be considerate of others whilst running. There will be plenty of race marshals along the route to provide both direction and encouragement.

The wearing of headphones is not allowed. Anyone seen wearing headphones will be disqualified.
Please do not go back through the finish area once you have completed the race.
Water will be available near the finish. A limited buffet will be available at the race HQ. The bar will be open.
