Preston Harriers are fortunate to have several athletes on sports scholarships over in America and last week Kian Davis, Nathan Dunn and Byron Sowerby were all in track action. On April 30th Dunn ran an excellent 5000m PB of 14:10.95 at the West Coast Relays 5000m invitational race, finishing in 5th place. That same day, Sowerby was in action, in very windy conditions, at the Kentucky Invitational 3,000m, finishing in a time of 9:01.63 and 13th position. The following day, May 1st, Sowerby was again in action, this time competing over 1,500m at the Kentucky 1500 and finishing in a time of 3:55.15 and 4th place. Also on the 1st, Davis competed at the Texas Invite 1,500m, running a new PB time of 3:55.15 to finish 5th.
