Mid Lancs CC Liverpool (BA Cross Challenge)

Please note that, the race times are different to Mid Lancs races. Race Times 10.45 U11 boys – 2k 10.55 U11 girls – 2k 11.05 U13 girls – 3k 11.20 U13 boys – 3k 11.35 U15 boys – 3k 11.50 U15 girls – 3k 12.05 U17 women and IAAF Junior Women only 12.25 U17 men – 5.5k 12.45 IAAF junior men only – 6.7k 13.05 Senior Women (including U23 Women`s European Trial and vet 70 men at Mid Lancs) – 8.1k 14.05 Senior men (including U23 Men`s European Trial) 9.8k

Mid Lancs race numbers and the chip timers will be available at the Preston Harriers club tent. If you`ve entered the Cross Challenge as an individual, then those numbers and chip timers will be given out at the large British Athletics marquee. The chip timer should be made secure on your ankle, so it can record your time when you cross the finish line. They will be collected by the officials in a holding area after the finish. Please bring safety pins to affix your number to your vest, as they are often not included within the number envelopes.

The races attract larger fields than Mid Lancs fixtures, with competitors in the Challenge and Trial races travelling from all over the UK., so please allow time for your journey and to park up. You are likely to have to walk some distance to get to the competition area. Parking is on the perimeter of Sefton Park and the postcode is L17 3AL.

Travel Directions are:- From the end of the M62 to Liverpool, turn left on the A5058 Queens Drive. After approx ½ mile go straight over the Fiveways roundabout continuing on the A5058. Continue over next roundabout and on through traffic lights/signals. After approx. ¾ mile the A5058 enters Sefton Park and onto its perimeter drive. There will be programmes available on the day and there are food and drinks vans at the venue. Start Fitness normally operate a large outlet selling a wide array of kit.
