Trafford Grand Prix track & field meeting 24th August 2021
Tuesday August 24th saw the latest staging of the Trafford Grand Prix, with some impressive performances from the Harriers in attendance. Matthew Clark took 2nd place and ran a new PB of 4:24 in race one of the U15 1500m and Jenson Warren also ran a new 1500m PB in the third 1500m race of the meet, running 4:22.71. On the same night Daniel Bebbington took second and ran a new PB in the senior men’s 1500m A race of the BMC Gold Standard Races, in a time of 3:44.89.
Mid-Cheshire 5km road race 27th August 2021
The summer edition of the popular and competitive Mid-Cheshire 5k was held on the Friday, with three Harriers in attendance. Ross McKelvie was first home in 17:07, followed by Steve Hallas in 17:57 and close behind him was Mark Lee in 18:04.
Black Combe Dash fell race 29th August 2021
On Saturday the fell runners were in action at the Black Combe Dash, which was part of the English Fell Running Championships. Alistair Palmer was first to cross the line taking 38th place in 46:09. Jon Green (53:21) and John Rainford (55:14) also competed.
Cardiff Race for Victory 5km road race 29th August 2021
Finally on Sunday Joe Monk and Carla Davies were in Wales for the Cardiff Race for Victory 5K, with Monk taking 15th place in 14:41 and Davies crossing the line in 17:33 for 2nd FV35 in a very competitive field.
