Female team captain Cathy Flitcroft found time to fly the flag for Preston Harriers whilst on holiday earlier this month and did so in style, placing 1st lady in a 10.5km race in France.
The race, which was part of the Chantilly Chateau Running Festival, took place around the trails, forest and adjoining race course in the area, making it both a scenic and challenging route.
Cathy completed the race in a respectable 51:27 and was given a beautiful bouquet which - ever the team player - Cathy kindly gave away to a local spectator as it was too much to carry on her cycle home! Cathy also secured a free entry to next year’s event so perhaps another holiday will be on the cards?
