Whilst most of his Preston Harriers team mates were involved in some capacity with the Preston 10, Phil Lakeland ploughed a lone Harriers furrow at the Arnside Knott Fell Race.
This 2nd running of the race, with Hollins Farm as the venue, saw the course extended to 6 miles in length, with almost 1100 feet of climb, including tremendous views of Morecambe Bay towards Grange. Lakeland grittily posted a time of 62.58 for 119th place.
