This race has a Fell Runners Association permit, which means:
The race meets the FRA’s criteria for a fell race.
The race is organised with the FRA’s rules and requirements.
The race has UK Athletics public liability insurance.

This is an ‘A’ (hard) category fell race, which has previously been selected as an English Championship race. As such, even though it is a short race, it is not an easy race and is not ideal for beginners to fell running. Should there be adverse weather on the night you may be expected to carry a map, compass, whistle, hat, gloves, and waterproof whole body cover, which must have taped seams and an attached hood. The route is unmarked, and you should have the required navigational skills to find your way round the course whatever the weather.

Please do not enter if you are not sufficiently experienced to compete in this race.

Information about running in FRA races, including Runners Rules, are available on the FRA website, and, as a condition of entry, you will be expected to have read them, and to agree to comply with the requirements.
