Penwortham Cricket Club is the new headquarters for the Preston Inter Club Road Race. There is also a new course, although much of this is the same as last year. The distance from the cricket club to the race start is 0.6 miles. Access to the start is via a footpath on an old railway line close to the cricket club. Please allow sufficient time to get to the start.

Marshals will direct you to various parking areas around the cricket club. Please do not park on the side streets. We do not wish to compromise this venue by inconsiderate parking which may upset the local residents. Parking is a bit limited, so wherever possible, please try to car share. Or better still, cycle to the race.
The previous venue is nearer to the start, but further away from the cricket club (and buffet). There will be no parking marshals in this area.

Race Route
This is a two lap course along the Old Tramway, through Avenham Park and returning on the old railway footpath. The total distance is 4.16 miles. The route is as follows (refer to the attached map)

The cricket club (CC on map) is close to the only access to the start, which is from a footpath on an old railway line (point P on map).
