- Race held in conjunction with Chipping Agricultural Show
This race has a Fell Runners Association permit, which means:
- The race meets the FRA’s criteria for a fell race
- The race is organised in line with the FRA’s rules and requirements
- The race has UK Athletics public liability insurance
This is a 7.5 miles category BM fell race, which, even though it takes place in summer, it is not an easy race and is not ideal for beginners to fell running. Should there be adverse weather on the day you may be expected to carry a map, compass, whistle, hat, gloves and waterproof whole body cover, which must have taped seams and an attached hood. The route is unmarked and you should have the required navigational skills to find your way round the course whatever the weather. Please do not enter if you are not sufficiently experienced to compete in this race.
Information about running in FRA races, including Runners Rules, are available on the FRA website, and you will be expected to have read them, and to agree to comply with the requirements, as a condition of entry.

The race starts at Chipping Show field and crosses the fields towards Fell Foot before climbing around Parlick and on to Fairsnape Fell. There is a descent from Fairsnape, a climb up Blindhurst Fell to Parlick summit before returning to the finish by the same route over the fields.
