The Inter club road races series is between 7 local athletics clubs – Preston H, Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde AC, Chorley A & TC, Lytham St Annes RRC, Red Rose RR, Thornton Cleveleys RC & Wesham RR & AC. Each club hosts a midweek race from April to September. The race distance is usually around 4 – 5 miles.
The first race is at Blackpool on Wed 2nd April at 7pm.
Inter Club Series 2026 Race Dates
The races are open to all club members. Please note the minimum age to enter is age 15 on the day of the race. The races are run in a competitive but friendly spirit. They are free to enter for all club members. You just turn up and run with a club vest on.
You will need to have a race number for the series. The same race number must be used for all the races over the summer. Numbers can be collected from a club official on race days. Please allow plenty of time before the race starts.
Please do not request a number if you think you may not run in any of the races. It is always possible to get a number later for the remaining races. Last year 13% of the runners requesting a number did not run in any of the 7 races.
To obtain a race number please complete the online form, stating your name and date of birth. An email reply will be sent to confirm your entry. Please do not enter twice – check your emails first.
