Trawden Agricultural Show was the venue for the Boulsworth Fell Race, which was the final counter in the junior fell championship and the final race in the Inter Club Fell series. First off in the U13 Boys race was Vladimir Wiggins finishing in 2nd place in 7:14. The Under 13 Girls race was a title decider between Grace Horne and Megan Ind, who coming into the race, had both won two each in the previous races. Grace came out on top finishing 3rd in 8:56 with Megan 5th in 9:09. Completing the junior team was Arran Baldwin, with 7th (22:38) in the U15 Boys race.

In the senior race, 10.5k with 300m climb, the team were led home by Richard Smith (4th) and Oliver Heaton (5th) and backed up by John Griffiths (37th), John Rainford (39th) and Alex Waddelove (46th) for another inter club race win and overall 2017 series winners. The two John’s were supported by Roy Parkinson (102nd) for the V50 win and overall Vet50 winners. Similarly, Alan Appleby (101st) led home the V60 team with Mick McLoughlin (109th) supporting for the Vet 60 series win. Other finishers were Pete Carter (134th), Steve Taylor (137th), with Emily Wiggins (192nd) ahead of mum Olga Wiggins (205th). In the race Alan Appleby picked up the prize for first Vet70 and Emily Wiggins was first WomenU19.
